Circle of Spirit

Jason Lockyer
This is a story of unity that binds us to our land and each other — a reminder that we carry the spirit of our ancestors in every step, around every fire, and within every part of our lives.
The figure in the middle is my ancestor, a sacred spirit that guides and protects my people. The flowing yellows connecting the three circles represents the ongoing connection between the land, the spirit, and my community. The circles are the campfires — the heart of our gatherings, where stories are shared, songs are sung, and traditions are passed down through generations. Each fire is a place of belonging and remembrance, a symbol of our enduring culture and the light that keeps our stories alive.
