Stones of Jajiwurra

The Jajiwurra (Robe River) is part of who I am, holding the stories of my family and my old people who came before me.

When on Country, I see beautiful stones, both beneath the water and across the surrounding land, shaped by Country over generations. The dots are my people, past and present. When I am there, I think about those who stood there before me and those to come.

Jajiwurra may rise and fall but the stones remain – like our connection, memories and knowledge of Country.
