Maisie Indji is a Yindjibarndi woman, born and grew up in Roebourne and is now living at Cheeditha Community. She has recently started to paint because she has worked all her life and has not had the time. Now she has reduced to part time work she has time to enjoy her painting.
Her paintings are about the ocean and the rivers because she loves the colours. She paints the colours of the country out near Millstream where there are many sacred waterholes. She includes the bush plants that are important to health and healing. You can get a lot of fruits from the plants.
