Lisa Allen

Lisa Allen is an Yindjibarndi Artist who lives in the small, "dry", remote Aboriginal Community of Ngurrawaana in the Yindjibarndi tablelands, two hours inland from from Roebourne. Self-taught, Lisa has been painting for more than 10 years with Rosmary (Dec) and Alison Woodley at Ngurrawaana Community, creating bright acrylic paintings that celebrate her deep love of her Yindjibarndi country, its plants and animals. Lisa's artworks have often been included in the annual Cossack Art Awards Exhibitions,, and in 2015, Lisa won the prestigious Best Artwork by Pilbara Artist $10,000 Prize. Her artworks have also been included in West Pilbara Artists' Group Exhibitions in Perth over many years. The Juluwarlu Group Aboriginal Corporation and Yindjibarndi Aboriginal Corporation have supported Ngurrawaana Artists since 2010.
