Kayla began painting in 2018. After becoming a mother she took some time away from her brushes but has since returned to the canvas. Becoming a young mum of two children has given her the motivation to paint again.
Kayla uses colour confidently and has her own unique style. She enjoys painting the waterholes of her country and is also inspired by the wildflowers of the Pilbara and their stunning colours. Kayla is the daughter of Yinjaa-Barni Artist Melissa Sandy.
