Certain times of the year, you can see the dark shape of an emu among the stars of the Milky Way. During winter time, when you can see the shape of its neck and head, you know that emu’s are ready to start laying their eggs. When you see the large dark patch of its entire body, you know it’s time for the chicks to hatch.
