Mining Country

I will come back to this land some day and see our great landof knowledge will have not more colours of culture. This country that I call home will be gone and turned to ash like our ancestors. It is so sad to see this land of my dreamings will be like parts of our cars or other things that white man build dreams of their own by ripping apart our lands. I see that we dont have a say because our people allowed it to happen. It is so sad. our elders don’t have any understanding of reading of spelling words and no understanding just knowing the prices of dollars in their heads. Mining workers are what make me sad – that they don’t worry about our future kids – just lies that they put in our peoples heads…creating dreams and developments, of things that are good in our community. the hurts that will be passed on through of what people say, coz look aronud, what is here that’s ggoing to help the people – nothing at all. Mining takes and takes with no heart and no respect for the future dreaming places for our children.
